This French parchment is made by the world's largest parchment manufacturer, Ahlstrom Specialties, and manufactured in France at their Bousbecque and St-Séverin factories.

Virtual is the trademarked product of Ahlstrom and is a high-quality translucent vegetable-parchment paper

The company's description calls it "a process borne of an age-old papermaking tradition — with very non-traditional colors, surface structures and fiber formations. It is available in eight weights, six smooth colors, six textured colors, four textured whites and two traditional parchment surfaces. Tinted or textured, our range of fine translucent papers is a source of inspiration for graphic art and creative packaging including envelops, greeting cards, advertising, stationery, luxury bags, etc. All our grades are printable in offset, laser and silk screen."
